Kathleen L. Kitty (Kelley) Bender, 77, of Mingo Jct., OH, passed away Sunday, April 09, 2017 in LifeLine Hospital in Wintersville, OH.

Kitty was born May 20, 1939 in Bradley, OH, daughter of the late Ray and Anna Elizabeth (Whitaker) Kelley.

She was a retired cook and formerly attended the Meadowbrook Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Bender, Sr. in 2001; two brothers, Orville and Glenn Kelley; two sisters, Peggy and Marie.

Kitty leaves behind two sons, James (Judy) Bender of Columbus, OH and David (Mary) Bender of Fishers, IN; one daughter, Julie Hendricks of Mingo Jct.; five grandchildren, Kirk, Haley, Dominic, Jeremy Bender and Barbara Hendricks; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday April 11, 2017 from 3 pm til 5 pm. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home 107 Hill St. in Smithfield, OH, followed by her funeral service at 5 pm. Rev. Thomas Snodgrass will officiate the service and burial will be held privately at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, OH.
