Kathryn (Polito) Vendetta, 86, of Mingo Jct., OH, formerly of Smithfield, OH, passed away Wednesday April 26, 2017 in Weirton Medical Center Weirton, WV.

Kathryn was born July 20, 1930 in Rayland, OH, daughter of the late James and Josephine (Dinapoli) Polito.

She was a former clerk for Big Lots in Wintersville, OH and she was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Wintersville.

In addition to her parents, Katheryn was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Vendetta in 2014; two sisters, Margaret Rosohac and Rose Owens and by two brothers, Joseph and Frank Polito.

Surviving are her two sons, John (Debbie) Vendetta of Smithfield and Joseph Frank Vendetta of Mingo Jct; two grandsons, Mike and Nicholas Vendetta; her sister, Alvera Polito of Wintersville and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday April 28, 2017 from 4-8 pm at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home 107 Hill St. in Smithfield. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 am at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Thomas Graham officiating. Burial will follow in New Alexandria Cemetery.
