Kathy L. Shane, 75, of Toronto, OH, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022, in the Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV.

Kathy was born March 9, 1947, in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Joseph C. and Ruth I. (Gearin) Shane.

Kathy retired from the Edison Local School District in 1999, where she taught fifth and sixth grade.

She was a lifelong Christian and a member of the Wellsburg Church of Christ. Kathy spent many years serving as an EMT/Paramedic with TEMS in Toronto and she always thought of others before herself.

Surviving are three brothers, Joseph (Connie) Shane of AL, Scott (Ila) and Jeff (Toni) Shane both of Toronto; her faithful friend Marla Flood of Toronto, and many nieces and nephews.

At Kathys request she will be cremated and laid to rest in the Center Chapel Cemetery with her parents.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the ambulance crews of TEMS making sure Kathy was transported to the hospital at all hours of the day and night when needed.

Arrangements for Kathy are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
