Kenneth L. Mackey, Sr., 63, of Weirton, WV, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2009.Ken was born on March 30, 1946 in Wheeling West Virginia, son of the late Frank Mackey and Maxine (Tyler) Mackey who survives of Windsor Heights, WV.Ken was a Navy Veteran having served his country in Vietnam and also a retired Conductor with the Norfolk Southern Railroad. He served as the Local Chairman of the United Transportation Union, Local 991 of Mingo Jct., as well as the Regional Vice General Chairman of the Conrail General Committee.Ken is survived by his wife, Daria K. (Scheel) Mackey of Stratton, OH; son Kenneth L. Mackey, Jr. (Melissa) of Richmond, OH; daughter Nicole Mackey (Blair Fidak) of Toronto; two grandchildren, Leigha Mackey and Brady Fidak; one brother Frank D. Mackey of Wheeling, WV. He is also survived by several family and friends.Visitation for Ken will be held on Friday, August 14, from 2-8pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH, with a service being held at 8pm on Friday evening with Don and Cheryl Lawson officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. www.jefosterfh.com
