Kenneth E. Miller, 89, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday, September 01, 2010 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.Ken was born July 10, 1921 in Burgettstown, Pa., son of the late Albert and Florence Lewis Miller. He was retired from the Herald Star News paper, where he worked as a pressman for 38 years. He was protestant by faith, was a member of the Toronto Senior Citizens Club and served his country during W.W. II in the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his step-mother Matilda Marker Miller and his brother William Miller. Surviving are his wife Irene S. Kalatta Miller, whom he married on June 20, 1949, his two sons, Gary (Terry) Miller of Olathe, KS. and George (Sue) Miller of Weirton, his daughter Cheryl (Jim) DeVere of Hilliard, Ohio. 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Friends and family may call on Friday, Sept. 3 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Findley St., Toronto; where services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am. Pastor Marlin Hawley will provide the Service. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
