Kevin James Matthews, Sr., 53, of Mesa, AZ, passed away September 1, 2011 in Mesa, AZ.Kevin was born on May 25, 1958, in Steubenville, OH, son of James A. and Sherry J. (Reynard) Matthews.Kevin was a Production Operator for Air Gas in AZ, he was a veteran of the US Army and his passion was riding his motorcycle.Kevin is survived by his wife, Anna Maria (Cionni) Matthews of the home; his son Kevin J. Matthews, Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Mesa, AZ; his five sisters, Cindy Stingle of Smithfield OH, Jamie (Steve) Fredricks of Smithfield, OH, Lisa (Mike) Valuska of Dillonvale, OH, Kim (David) Spell of Smithfield, OH, and Melissa (Tim) Smith of Smithfield, OH; his brother-in-law Rocco (Priscilla) Cionni and his father and mother-in-law Romano and Donna Cionni all of Smitfhield, OH. Kevin also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.Visitation for Kevin will be held on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011 at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH, from 12 noon to 5pm followed by his funeral service at 5pm with Kenny Kourim officiating. Members of the American Legion will provide Military Honors following the service at the funeral home and his burial will be held at the convenience of his family.
