Kevin K. McAdoo, 58, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at his home following a courageous 8 month battle with colon cancer.
Kevin was born Feb. 11, 1960 in E. Liverpool, OH, son of Kenneth and Susan (Deyarmon) McAdoo.
He was a 1978 graduate of Wellsville High School and he attended both Kent State and Ohio State University. Kevin was a Control Room Operator at the Ohio Edison Sammis Plant in Stratton, OH. He was a member and former secretary of the UWUA Local 457.
Kevin attended the First United Methodist Church in Toronto. He was a fan of the Cowboys, Pirates, Penguins and Pitt Panthers. He enjoyed spending his time as a volunteer with the Toronto Youth Baseball League. Kevin was an avid photographer of the outdoors and any local sporting event in Toronto.
Kevin leaves behind his parents, Kenneth and Susan; his wife, Karen (Carnahan) McAdoo whom he married in 2007; his two sons, Cody (Rachel) McAdoo of Cincinnati, OH and Cristopher McAdoo and his partner, Adam Wright of Wellsville, OH; his brother, Kraig (Amy) McAdoo of Apollo Beach, FL; step-daughter, Melissa DiStefano and step-son, Drew Humpe both of Toronto; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Nancy Carnahan of Toronto; mother of his sons, Patty Peterson McAdoo of Wellsville; his extended family and many friends.
Friends will be received Monday, Jan. 7 from 3 -7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto where his funeral service will be held Tuesday at 12 noon. There will be additional viewing Tuesday from 11 am til noon. Rev. Kevin Rinkes will officiate and burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
Kevins family would like to thank all of the volunteers and the community of Toronto for all the outpouring of love and support during this very trying past year.
Memorial donations may be offered at the funeral home and they will be given to his family.
