Larry E. Wallace, 72, of Toronto, OH, passed away Monday May 30, 2016 in the Villa Vista Nursing Home in Steubenville, OH.
Larry was born July 16, 1943 in Toronto, son of the late Lawrence and Edith (McVeigh) Wallace.
He was retired from First Energy Corp., Sammis Plant, where he was a coal yard bulldozer operator. He was also a former Ohio State Highway Patrolman.
Larry was a graduate of Jefferson Union High School. He was a member of the Toronto American Legion Post #86, the Moose Lodge in Marietta, OH and the Harley Davidson Riders Group.
Larry served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and William Bill Wallace.
Surviving is his son, Joseph Wallace and his companion Erica Mueller and his grandson, Joseph Joey Wallace all of Toronto.
Visitation will be held on Thursday June 2, 2016 from 4-8 pm at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11 am at the funeral home. Rev. Kevin Rinkes will officiate his service and burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery outside of Wellsville, OH.
Full Veterans Honor Services, by the Toronto American Legion Post #86, will be held at the funeral home following his funeral.
