Laura M. (Rensi) Visintainer, 90, of Smithfield, Ohio passed away Monday July 6, 2009 in the Gables Care Center in Hopedale. Laura was born July 28, 1918 in Parlett, Ohio, daughter of the late Samuel and Adelaide Dalpiaz Rensi. She was a former employee of Reisbeck's, and was a former weighmaster for Consol Coal Corp. She was a member of the former Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Smithfield, where she was Past Pres. of the C.W.C.of the Church. Presently a member of St. Adalbert's Catholic Church in Dillonvale. Laura loved to cook, play bridge, read and listen to classical music. In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband Arthur M. Visintainer Sr.,on Oct. 22, 1969, her son, Arthur M. Visintainer Jr.,on Jan. 27, 1999, three brothers, Ernest,Raymond and Daniel Rensi. Surviving are her daughter, Evelyn Clouston of Smithfield, her daughter-in-law, Irene Visintainer of Glastonbury,CT., four grandchildren, John A.(Marianne) Clouston of Smithfield, Michael A.(Patricia)Visintainer of Burlington, CT., and twins Donna (Michael) Lussier of Cheshire, CT.,and Michelle(Stephen) Payson of Springfield, MA. and five Great-Grandchildren. Her brother Henry (Jean) Rensi of Bolivar,Ohio and her sister, Irene(Montford) Patton of Hopedale and several nieces and nephews.Visitation for Laura will be held on Wednesday evening from 4-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH where a prayer vigil will be held at 4:15pm. Laura's Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 9 at 11 am at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Cadiz, OH with the Fr. Timothy McGuire as celebrant. There will be additional visitation Thursday at the Church from 10:15am up until the time of the Mass at 11am. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Hopedale, OH.
