Lawton Lee Brumett, 94, of Rayland, OH, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2019 at his home.
Lee was born Dec. 9, 1924 in Robbins, TN, son of the late John and Flora (Marsh) Brumett.
Lee retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. in 1984 with 36 years of service at the Mingo Jct. plant in the Blast Furnace Dept.
He was a member of the Rush Run Community Church and he served his country during WWII in the US Army Medical Corp.
In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Brumett and his sister, Marie Homol.
Surviving is his wife, Gladys (Millican) Brumett; his children, Brenda (Marc) Bozman of Wintersville, OH, Pastor John Patrick (Penny) Brumett of Garland, TX and Pamela Sue (Stephen) Mossor of Dillonvale, OH; his four grandchildren, Joshua Mossor and Athena, Erica (Matthew) Brazauskas, Patrick and Katie Brumett; one great-granddaughter, Gracie Mae Mossor.
Visitation will be held Friday Oct. 11, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11 am with Pastor Dave Green officiating. Burial will follow in New Alexandria Cemetery with Military Honors presented by the Piney Fork American Legion.
