Lee R. Sherwood, 70, of Toronto, OH, passed away Tuesday April 14, 2020 in the Gables Care Center in Hopedale, OH.

Lee was born Aug. 29, 1949 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Ralph Lee and June (Baker) Sherwood.

He retired from the Weirton Steel Corp. in 1994 having worked in the Sheet Mill. Lee was Methodist by faith and a 1967 graduate of Toronto High School.

In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cliff and Olive Sherwood.

Surviving is his wife, Theresa (Gasvoda) Sherwood, whom he married on Dec. 21, 1986; his sister, Terri (Bob) Sutherin and his two brothers, Keith (Cathy) and Kenneth (Olga) Sherwood all of FL; 4 stepchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 1 step-great-grandchild; his aunts, Nancy Bodrog of Toronto, OH and Emily Babe (James Tony) Sestito of FL and his uncle, Paul Sherwood of Toronto.

Lees wishes were to be cremated with burial held at the convenience of his family. His arrangements are in the care of J.E. Foster Funeral Homes and Cremation Center in Toronto.

His wife Theresa would like to thank the Gables Care Center for their expert care of Lee over the past 3 years and to the Wintersville Vol. Fire Dept. for transporting Lee to his many appointments and dialysis over the past year.
