Lena L. "Grammy" Barbarossa, 94, of Piney Fork, Ohio passed away Monday Jan. 11, 2010 at her home. Lena was born Oct. 7, 1915 in Tiltonsville, Ohio; daughter of the late Patsy and Anna Stabile. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Adalbert R.C. Church in Dillonvale. She along with her husband Andy were co-owners of the former Barbarossa's Town Tavern. In addition to her parents Lena was preceded in death by five brothers, Patsy,John,Mike,Carl, and Ralph Stabile and by her sister Mary Deluca Dolfi. Lena is survived by her six children; Carlo Barbarossa of Smithfield, Emelio (Bernice) Barbarossa of Alliance, Ohio, Cecelia Barbarossa of Mingo Jct.(Georges Run), Theresa (Robert) Cichon of Piney Fork, Rose(Richard) Varagliotti of Toronto and Larry (Chris) Barabarossa of Federal Way, WA. Her brother Nick (Marian) Stabile of Rayland. 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Friends and family may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm., at the J.E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 107 Hill St. Smithfield, Ohio. On Friday everyone will gather at St. Adalbert Church in Dillonvale where Lena's Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at 10:00 am. Msgr. John Kolesar will Celebrate he Mass and burial will follow in New Alexandria Cemetery. Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening.
