STRUPE, Leroy F., 76, of Strupe Road, Rayland, Ohio,Leroy was born May 7, 1931 in Richmond, Ohio, son of the late Felix Strupe and Elizabeth Solter Strupe Hammer.Leroy was a retired employee of the Blast Furnace Department at Weirton Steel Corp., retiring after 41 years of service. He was a member of the Wintersville American Legion; and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, in 1991; a daughter, Debbie Strupe, in 1981; a grandson, Eddie Strupe; a sister, Elsie Pittman; and a brother, Marion Strupe.Surviving are nine children, Doris (Mike) Schayes, Donna Strupe, Ruth Strupe, Ken and Dan Strupe, all of Coshocton, Ohio, Della Strupe and her friend, Gary Redman, Betty (Greg) Carmichael, Judy (Bill) Mosser, all of Rayland, Ohio, Edna Strupe and Bill Carmichael, of Toronto; three sisters, Helen Lemasters of Fla., Wilma Parrish of Richmond and Pat Tickerhoof of Paris, Pa.; 20 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.Friends and family may call on Friday, October 5, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 107 Hill Street, Smithfield, Ohio, where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. Pastor Roger Wayne will officiate the service.Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
