Lester L. "Luck" Coil, 80, of Toronto, Ohio passed away Tuesday Nov. 22, 2009 in Trinity Medical West Steubenville. Luck was born July 12, 1929 in Knoxville, Ohio, son of the late Benjamin and Ila Ward Coil. Luck was a retired Cement Mixer Driver for Stravaggi Industries in Weirton, and also helped his daughter "Dart" as a van driver for Kids Express. He is a member of the Lighthouse Presbyterian Church in Richmond, served on the board at Island Creek Cemetery, and was a member of Union Local #428. Luck also served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army.In addition to his parents Luck was preceded in death by infant sisters Doris Jean and Yvonne, sisters Marjorie Coil, Annabelle Heckathorn, and two brothers Dean and Larry Coil. Surviving are his wife of 57 years Neva (Davis) Coil, whom he married on Jan. 12, 1952; three daughters Karen Lavonne of Toronto, Linda "Dart" (Ron) Stephen of Richmond, Edna "Eddie" Moss of Columbus; his brother Harold Coil of Knoxville, TN; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends and family may call on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm., at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 701 Findley St. Toronto, Ohio; where Luck's Life Celebration Service will be held on Saturday at 12 Noon. Pastor Darrin Edgington will provide his service. Burial will follow in Island Creek Cemetery. A full military graveside honors will be provided by the Toronto American Legion Post # 86.
