Obituary

Lloyd E. King, 80 of N. 5th St. Toronto, Ohio passed away Friday evening at Trinity Medical Center West. Lloyd was born June 4, 1925 in Cumberland, Md., son of the late Elmer and Ruth Devore King. He was a retired supervisor at the former Ohio Edison Toronto Power Plant, retiring in 1990; and since his retirement has been a long time faithful employee of the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc. in Toronto and Smithfield, Ohio. Lloyd is a member of the 1st. United Methodist Church in Toronto, The Toronto American Legion Post # 86, The Toronto V.F. W. Post # 6906, and was a former volunteer Driver for T.E.M.S., Inc. Lloyd served his Country in W.W. II serving in the U. S. Army, 34th Infantry, 24th Division in New Guinea Southern Philippines. In addition to his parents Lloyd was preceded in death by; Two brothers; his twin brother Floyd and Dale King. Surviving are; his wife of 38 years Donna Dennis King, whom he married on Jan. 17, 1967, Four sons; Larry ( Beckie ) King of Steubenville, Chris ( Dachia ) King of Everett, WA., Jeffrey ( Tammy ) King of Warrensburg, IL., Ronald ( Janet ) King of Toronto. Four daughters; Alice Humes of Largo, Fla., Helen Spanovich of Steubenville, Valli King of Steubenville, Vicki (Bernard) Skeens of Toronto, a Step-daughter; Susan ( Paul ) Wilson of Md., Two sisters; Pat (Tom) Zorne of Wintersville, Esther Bassing of Newburg,W.Va. and a sister-in-law Edith King also of Newburg, W.Va.21 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren. Friends and family may call on Monday evening from 7 - 9 pm. and on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. at the J. E. FOSTER FUNERAL HOMES, INC. 701 Findley St. in Toronto; where services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Rev. Kevin Rinkes will officiate the service. Burial will be at the convenience of his family. Legion and V.F.W. service will be Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm. Full military honors will be conducted by the Toronto American Legion Post # 86 on Wednesday at the Funeral Home following his service. Memorial donations may be made to: The 1st.
