Obituary

Louis Torok, 84, of Smithfield, OH, passed away Sat. Oct. 3, 2015 in LifeLine Hospital in Wintersville, OH.

Lou was born Sept. 13, 1931 in Bradley, OH, son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Szilagyi) Torok.

Lou was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., where he worked in the Utilities Dept.

He was a member of the Dillonvale Presbyterian Church, Piney Fork American Legion, the Smithfield Masonic Lodge #182 F&AM, the Scottish Rite of Steubenville.

Lou was a true Smithfield Spartan. He was a letterman football player for the Spartans and a former president of the Smithfield Spartan and Buckeye North Huskie Football Booster Clubs.

Lou loved to farm raising beef cattle. He also loved to hunt and attend Pittsburgh Steeler Football games.

Lou served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, Harry, Andy, Julius, Steve and John and by his sisters, Margaret, Mary, Irene and Bertha.

Surviving is his wife, Viola (Kiss) Torok, whom he married on Aug. 9, 1952; two sons, Gregory (Cheryle) Torok and Douglas (Sherry) Torok both of Dillonvale, OH; three daughters, Susan (Rick) Pastre of Smithfield, LuAnn (Bill) Harms and Patricia (Mark) Brown both of Dillonvale; his brother; James (Beverly) Torok of Smithfield; eight grandchildren, Ricky, Ashley, Billy, Sara, Lindsay, Jamison, Justin and Joshua; three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Landyn and Keegan.

Visitation for Lou will be held on Tuesday Oct. 6, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc. 107 Hill St. in Smithfield. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. Michael Lenno officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, OH.

Masonic Services will be held on Tuesday at 7:30 pm. Veteran Military Honors will be conducted by the Piney Fork American Legion at the cemetery.
