M.EdwardStrupe,48of Smithfield, Ohio passed away Friday Nov. 24, 2006 in the WheelingMedicalParkHospital. He was born Jan. 31, 1958 in Steubenville, son of the late Marion F. Strupe and Jean A. (Bontempo) Strupe, who survives. Ed was the owner and operator of Strupe Construction Co. in Smithfield. Ed was a loving Father, Son, Brother and Uncle. He was a pillar in the community of Smithfield. Ed was willing to offer his help to anyone who was in need. He will be sadly missed by his Mom, Brothers, Sisters, Nieces, Nephews, and by all who knew him. He was a former Smithfield Village Councilman, a member of the ABATE of Ohio Region #1, Hopedale Sons of theAmerican Legion, the PineyValley Sportsman's Club and the Brilliant Boat Club. In addition to his father, Ed was preceded in death by his son Steven E. Strupe, on June 10, 2005.Surviving in addition to his mother Jean of Rayland, are his brothers and sisters; David Strupe, John (Tammy) Strupe all of Mingo; Suzanne (David) Maguschak of Hopedale, Hank Strupe and Michelle of Mingo, Marie Theodore of Calf., Dee Liggett of Rayland, and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call on Tuesday at the Friends Church, located on Main St. in Smithfield; from 6 - 9 pm. and again on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. A Celebration of Ed's Life Service will be held at the Church on Thursday at 11:00am.Rev. Robert Carson will officiate the service.All calling hours and the service are being held at the Friends Church,due to remodeling taking place at the Funeral Home in Smithfield.Ed's services are under the direction of the J.
