Madlyn M. Hobson, 84, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Friday March 8, 2013 at her home. Madlyn was born in Rayland, OH, daughter of the late Russell and Laura Nichols Baumberger. She was a buyer at the former Hub of Steubenville and she also was a Secretary at Trinity Medical Center West. She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Toronto and was an active volunteer at the Tony Teramana Cancer Center. In addition to her parents, Madlyn was preceded in death by her son Robert "Woody" Hobson, her sister Mildred Roe and her brother Russell "Bud" Baumberger. She is survived by her two daughters, Sherry (Patrick) McFarland of Calf., and Cecile (Jim) Harris of Mt. Pleasant, OH; three granddaughters, Terri, Erin and Emily; six great-grandchildren, Ian, Drew, Sophie, James, Sela and Colt. Madlyn is also survived by two sisters, Pauline (Walter) Morehead of Mt. Pleasant, OH and Dorothy Watson of Marysville, OH. A Memorial Service in Remembrance of Madlyn will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the 1st United Methodist Church, 6th and Main St. in Toronto, OH. Rev. Kevin Rinkes will officiate her service.
