Margaret Joan (August) Carnahan, 87, of Toronto, passed away Friday, October 5, 2007 in the Stow-Glen Retirement Center in Stow, Ohio.Margaret was born November 30, 1919, the daughter of the late Stella and Michael August.Margaret graduated from Toronto High School, class of 1938.She was a member of the EmpireUnitedMethodistChurch.Friends will remember her as an avid amateur bowler and as a volunteer band parent.Paul S. Carnahan, Margaret's husband of 65 years, passed away in 2005.They were married on May 8, 1940.She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Marie Thompson and Stephanie Miller and by two brothers, Joseph August and William August.Margaret's survivors include one daughter, Bertha and her husband Doug Sims; grandchildren Holly and her husband Mat Shannon and David Sims; great-granddaughters Madison and Kamryn Shannon; two nieces, Joanne August and Rita Hamley; one nephew, Robert Carnahan.There will be no visitation; services are private and burial will follow in TorontoUnionCemetery.J.E.
