Margaret E. Maggie Deitch, 72, of Wintersville, OH, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 in the Trinity West Medical Center in Steubenville, OH.

Maggie was born Dec. 23, 1947 in Martins Ferry, OH, daughter of the late Charles and Shirley (Albright) Deitch.

She was a retired English Teacher for the Steubenville City Schools. Maggie taught at the Grant Jr. High School, Harding Middle School and at the Big Red High School. She received her bachelors degree from The Ohio State University.

In addition to her parents, Maggie was preceded in death by her foster-mother, Betty Waugaman and her sister in law, Karen Deitch.

Maggie leaves behind her partner of 21 years, Mary K. McCardel; her two sisters, Bonnie (Edward) Brewer of Blaine, OH and Nola Deitch of Steubenville; her three brothers, Charles (Betty) Deitch, Michael and Robert Deitch all of Steubenville; her two cats, Dusty and Goldie. She is also survived by two nieces, Angela Bilinsky and Holly Deitch; three nephews, Todd Bilinsky, Charles (Korin) Deitch and Rick Deitch; two great nieces, Abby Bilinsky and Isabel Deitch; two great nephews, Dylan Bilinsky and Colden Deitch.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Dec. 5 at 2 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. Family and friends will be received from 1 PM 2 PM.
