Margaret E. Francis, 95, of Bloomingdale, formerly of Piney Fork, Ohio passed away Thursday May 8, 2008 in Dixon Health Care Center in Wintersville.Margaret was born March 10, 1913 in York, Ohio; daughter of the late James Graham and Martha Skinner Hobson. She was retired from Buckeye Local School District, where she was head cook at the Smithfield Elementary School. She was a charter member for 60 years and past Elder at the Piney Fork Presbyterian Church,a member of the Ohio Liberty Grange and was an honorary member of the Belvedere Vol. Fire Dept.In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Robert O. Francis in 1961, her twin infant sister Ida Mildred Hobson in 1913 and by her older sister Mary Hennrietta Hann, in 2006. Surviving are her son, Robert L. ( Bernice ) Francis of Bloomingdale, her grandson Carl L. (Cheryl) Francis of Wintersville, her granddaughter Darla (John) Graham of New Philadelphia, Oh., two great-grandsons Carl (Kelley) Leonard of Sherrodsville, Oh., and David (Michelle) Francis of Scio. Four great-great-grandchildren, Cory and Nicholas Leonard, Gracie and Trevor Francis.Friends and family may call on Monday May 12, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 107 Hill St. Smithfield, where Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am. Rev. Darrin Jones will officiate the service and burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery in Harrisville, Oh.
