Obituary

Margaret (Torok) Klapka, age 93, of Geneva, Ohio died on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at University Hospital Geneva Medical Center. The eldest of thirteen children, she was born March 22, 1914, in Bradley, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Szilaygi) Torok. Prior to moving to Geneva in 1997, she lived all of her adult life in Jefferson County, where she was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Smithfield, Ohio. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, watching the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns games and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Doris Zalewski of Geneva, Ohio, her son, Lewis (Pat) of Springboro, Ohio, two brothers, Louis and James of Dillonvale, Ohio, three sisters, Irene Rock of Geneva, Ohio, Mary Bartek of Bradley, Ohio and Bertha Ingler of Dillonvale, Ohio, eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one step great-grandchild and two great great-grandchildren. Her husband, Louis Klapka, whom she married November 11, 1933 died April 14, 1959. Her parents, a sister, Elizabeth Torok, six brothers, Joseph, John, Harry, Steve, Andrew and Julius and a great granddaughter, Karly Ann Stoll, all preceded her in death. Calling hours will be from 2:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 13 at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH. The funeral service for Margaret will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 14 at the funeral home with the Rev. Darren Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Northern Cemetery, Smithfield, OH.
