Margaret Alice (Keesee) Myers, 80, of Toronto, OH, passed away suddenly Friday, February 21, 2014 in the Weirton Medical Center Emergency Room.Margaret Alice was born May 29, 1933 in Coxton, KY, daughter of the late William L. and Irene (Scott) Keesee.Her education included a B.A. Music Education from West Liberty State College and a Masters Degree in Reading from Youngstown State University. Her teaching experience included Hancock and Brooke County Schools in West Virginia, Mingo Jct. Public Schools and Toronto City Schools, in Ohio, where she retired from as a first grade teacher.Margaret Alice was involved in many organizations with memberships including: First United Methodist Church in Toronto, Alpha Delta Kappa where she was Past State President, Delta Kappa Gamma, Three Arts, Steubenville Book Club, Ohio Retired Teachers Association, Jefferson Co. Retired Teachers where she was past VP, Toronto Retired Teachers and the Gadabouts Senior Group in Steubenville. She was also a WV Master Gardener and a member of the Weirton Bridge Club.She leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Arch Myers of home; her daughter, Dr. Susan G. Myers of Pinehurst, NC, her son, William (Nadine) Myers of Powell, OH; her brother, William (Shirley) Keesee of Westerville, OH; her four grandchildren, Jessica and Jennifer Wlodarski and Alexander and Jacob Myers.A memorial service for Margaret Alice will be held on Monday, February 24 at 12 noon at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home 701 Findley St. in Toronto, OH. Rev. Kevin Rinkes will officiate the service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Margaret Alice's memory to the First United Methodist Church PO Box 345 Toronto, OH 43964.
