Margaret T. ("Peggy") Soisson died peacefully in her sleep on June 16, 2006, at home with her daughter, Susan B. Leslie-Smith, in Boca Raton, Florida.A resident of Toronto, Ohio since 1948, Peggy formerly worked in Steubenville as a sales associate in Denmark's and as a buyer for fabrics and sewing notions in The Hub.She was also a receptionist in the Toronto office of Dr. Stratton.For 10 years Peggy volunteered at TrinityEastHospital, retiring from her ultimate function there as "Ms. Prime Time." Peggy was born on April 5, 1915, in KewGardens, Surrey, England, the daughter of Frederick Leopold and Hilda Bentley White.She survived her four siblings.Before the outbreak of World War II, under the stage name of Peggy Bentley, she was an actor/manager of a theater company on the west pier in Brighton with her husband, Edward Rex Leslie-Smith, who was buried in Poona, India, as a 1942 casualty of war while serving as a Captain in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers. In 1947 at the home of her sister, Doris Duperly in Jamaica, West Indies, Peggy married Augustine Donald Soisson, a native of Connellsville, Pennsylvania, and a U. S. Army veteran, who died in 1971.Their daughter, Louisa Jo ("Candy") Forrester, predeceased her in 1998 and is survived by Peggy's granddaughter, Michele, and her daughters Meagan and MacKenzie of Coral Springs, Florida.Other survivors include grandsons Jeffrey Shopoff of Manhattan, New York, and Randall Shopoff of Los Angeles, California, and his daughters Rachel and Sydney. An avid gardener and lover of plants, flowers, birds and "all things bright and beautiful", Peggy was a member of RiverviewMethodistChurch in Toronto, Ohio.
