Margaret L. “Peg” (Cromer) Tarr, 85, of Cadiz, OH, formerly of Toronto, OH, passed away Tuesday August 25, 2026, at the Meadows of Cadiz.

Peg was born August 20, 1941, in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Walter and Eleanor Jean (Bloom) Cromer.

She retired as deli manager at Harris Teeter on St. Simons Island, GA. Peg was a member of North Brunswick Christian Church in Brunswick, GA. She enjoyed painting, horseback riding, crocheting, and sewing. She also made baby blankets and donated them to local hospitals.

In addition to her parents, Peg was preceded in death by her husband, Durwood Tarr, who passed August 21, 2021, son, John Christopher Tarr, grandson, John Thomas Tarr, brother, William "Bill" Cromer, and her beloved dog, Rilo.

Surviving are three daughters, Debbie Tarr Alston of Toronto, Carol Tarr Theodore of Cadiz, and Stephanie Tarr Smith of TX; nine grandchildren, Travis (Daisy) Alston, Joshua Black, Emily Black, Stephanie (Tony) Lemmon, Allen (Erica) Smith, Stevan Smith, Jennifer (Billy) Robertson, and Janet Tarr, and eleven great-grandchildren.

At Peg’s request, she will be cremated, and no public services will be held. J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto is handling the arrangements.
