Margaret Wroten, 87, of Smithfield, OH, passed away Friday, November 14, 2014 in the Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV.

Margaret was born January 29, 1927 in Hopedale, OH, daughter of the late George and Mary Prohart Wrkich.

She was a member of the Smithfield Presbyterian Church, Smithfield Womens Club and Book Club. Margaret worked as the office manager for the Wroten Insurance Agency in Smithfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John, who passed in 2005; brothers, George, Louis, Frank and Joe and her sister, Rose Marie Germousek.

Margaret leaves behind her two sons, John and Carolyn Wroten of Wheeling, WV and Lou and Marya Wroten of St. Petersburg, FL; her grandson, John Wroten also of Wheeling; two sisters, Christina Kasprzak of St. Clairsville, OH and Mary Smith of Tiltonsville, OH; two sister-in-laws, Barbara Wrkich of Steubenville, OH and Kate Wrkich of Mingo Jct., OH.

Visitation for Margaret will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 from 4-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home 107 Hill St. in Smithfield where her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 am. Rev. Wilford Simeral will officiate her service and burial will follow in New Alexandria Cemetery in New Alexandria, OH.
