Marie Ellen Creamer, 82, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 30, 2025 in Steubenville, Ohio.

She was born September 9, 1943, in Witchazel, near Smithfield. Mom was the 4th daughter of Melvin (Boss) and Adelaide (Bessie) Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Lois, Ruth and Rena, her children's father, the Reverand Ernest Creamer, and her longtime companion, Richard Tyson.

Mom was a lifetime resident of Jefferson County. Family was always first. She and her siblings made sure their children were always around each other growing up. Weekends were always spent at one cousin's house or the other.

She raised 4, Chris (Ann) Creamer, Robin (Dave) Higginbotham, Amy Creamer and Betsy Lumpkin. That family grew. She had nine grandchildren, Joshua (Sodo), David (Krystal), Mark (Brandi) and Jonathon (Ashley) Higginbotham, Jessica, Chantel and Charae Mallory, Colleen (Parker) Ogle and Abigail Creamer; nineteen great grandchildren, Joshua Jr., Chole Jean, Conner, Alexis, Mason, Katarina, Benjamin, Madison, Lillie, Mark Jr., Kyla, Braiden, Harrison, Allie Rae, Jonathon Miles Thomas, Olivia, Noah, Alena and Allan Thomes. She loved everyone with the big heart she had. I love you, Mom.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, August 5 from 11 am to 1 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield with services to follow at 1 pm. Rev. Richard Clark will officiate, and interment will take place at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Bloomingdale. There will be a small celebration after at Mt. Moriah Church.
