Marie A. McGrath, 87, of Toronto, Ohio passed away, Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North, with her loving family beside her. Marie was born Oct. 18, 1923 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Lawrence B. and Thelma Hutchison Rethage. Over the years she worked at the Toronto Bowling Lanes, Dyer Country Club and the Toronto American Legion. She is Methodist by faith and was a member of the Toronto American Legion Auxiliary, Dyer Country Club and loved to bowl. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Louis W. "Lou" McGrath in 1996, her daughter Nancy Starr in 2008, and her step-father George Gossett. She is survived by her children, Robert (Jeannette) McGrath of Olmstead Falls, Ohio, Catharine "Honey" (Bob) Samuel , Michael "Mickey" (Amy) McGrath all of Toronto, Ohio. Her son-in-law Johnnie Starr of Toronto. Eight grandchildren, Chris (Jen) McGrath, Jim (Candie) Starr, Dennis (Penny) Starr, Frank( Rebecca) Starr, Bobby ( Heather) Samuel, Eric McGrath, Jenny (J.J.) Liddick and Lori (Austin) Fowers. Step Grand-daughter Melissa (Rob) Annen. 12 great-grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchidren. Friends and family may call Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 pm., at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Findley St. Toronto; where Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am., with Rev. Robert Meyer and Rev. Kevin Rinkes officiating.
