Martha Lorena Goddard, 87, of Toronto, OH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at her home.

Martha was born on April 17, 1938, in Toronto, daughter of the late Lelon and Martha (Rawson) Glasure. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter M. Goddard, grandsons, Matthew A. Carroll and Timmy Barrett, and brothers, Harold and Frank.

Martha graduated from Jefferson Union High School and soon after, on November 5, 1956, married Walter. She dedicated herself to her roles as a housewife and mother of four children. Martha was an active member of the Port Homer Community Church, where she played the piano for many years.

Martha leaves behind her children, Brenda L. Carroll of Toronto, Walter Goddard of Lancaster, OH, Bill (Sandi) Goddard of Knoxville, OH, and Mary Beth (Mike) Barrett of Amsterdam, OH; two brothers, Wayne (Nettie) Glasure of Parkersburg, WV, and Ed (Alma) Glasure of Toronto; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

At Martha's request, her service will be private and led by Doug Snyder with interment following in the Island Creek Cemetery next to her husband. Martha's arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
