Martha Eleanor Lowery, 93, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at her home.Eleanor was born August 20, 1919 in Punxsutawney, PA, daughter of the late George and Martha Schurr McElhoes.Eleanor was a member of the Riverview United Methodist Church in Toronto, OH, a former member of Dyer Country Club and the Ohio Bowling Association. She was formerly employed by the G.C. Murphy Co. and Welsh's Drug Store both in Toronto. Eleanor loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Pittsburgh Steelers and taking trips to Mountaineer Resort.In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Lowery who passed away March 1, 2002; her brother Robert McElhoes; sister Anna Mae Hoffman; infant brother Jay; son-in-law Gary Fisher.Eleanor leaves behind her children, son James (Carol) Lowery of Lake Forest, CA, daughter JoLynn Fisher and her companion Todd Firm of Toronto, OH, son Thomas D. (Sondra) Lowery of Toronto, OH; her grandchildren, David, Kristen and Janelle, Travis and Tim, Jay and Jessica; her great-grandchildren, Drew, Jacob, Tyler, Britton, Jack, Emma and Mason.There will be a Memorial Service for Eleanor held on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 11am at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. There will be an hour of visitation held from 10am until time of the Service. Rev.
