Mary Alice Blankenship, 95, Toronto, OH, was called home by her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her loving family, Saturday Sept. 10, 2022, at her home.

Mary Alice was born Nov. 18, 1926, in Mingo Jct, OH, daughter of the late Harry Redmond and Alice (Maderia) Barcus.

She was retired from the Herald Star Circulation Dept. Mary Alice was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Toronto.

In addition to her parents, Mary Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Oris Lee Blankenship, daughter, Ruth Ann Bell, son, Dale Guy Blankenship, and brother, Harry Barcus.

Mary Alice leaves behind her son, William L. Bill (Cathy) Blankenship and daughter, Janet (Michael) Groman, both of Toronto; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held Wednesday Sept. 14 at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto following the visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Rev. Kevin Rinkes will officiate, and burial will follow in the Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto.
