Mary Ellen Sugie Waggoner, 86, of Toronto, OH, passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021 at her home.

Mary Ellen was born June 6, 1934 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Karaffa) Bucey.

In addition to her parents, Sugie was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Pickles Waggoner (Feb. 3, 2020), her son, Phillip Waggoner (April 2, 2020), her sister, Dorothy Grill, and her brothers, Paul, Dave, Dan, Bill, and John Bucey.

She is survived by her son, Scott W. (Lori) Waggoner of Toronto; five grandchildren, Deanna (Robert) Mathieu of Bloomingdale, OH, Raelynn (Jonathan) Paris of Wintersville, OH, Alanna Waggoner of Steubenville, Amy (Dave) Fullenkamp of Troy, OH and Jason Waggoner of Toronto, and nine great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received Tuesday, March 2 from 2 PM to 4 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Her funeral service will follow at 4 PM with Dr. Rev. Edna Stahl and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
