Mary M. Firm, of Toronto, OH, passed away Monday Nov. 9, 2015 in the Gables Care Center in Hopedale, OH.

She was born Aug. 26, 1925 in Toronto, OH, daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Cadegan.

Mary had a 40 year career in Radio and Television, beginning at WSTV radio and retiring from the Traffic Dept. at WTOV-TV 9 in Steubenville.

She was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Theresa Dougherty.

Surviving is her husband of 57 years, Carl L. Bud Firm, whom she married on July 19, 1958; her son, Samuel T. Firm of Newark, OH; her two daughters, Stacey (Ron) Belford of Grove City, OH and Maggi (Dave) Blischak of Akron, OH; nine grandchildren, Michael, Sara, Rachel, Natalie, Joseph, Jennie, John, Paul and Julianna; three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Erin and Mia.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Findley St. in Toronto. Additional visitation will take place on Friday at St. Francis Church from 9:15 til time of Marys Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10 am. Fr. Thomas Vennitti will celebrate her Mass and burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.

Vigil Service will be held on Thursday at 3:45 pm at the funeral home.
