Mary R. Kireta, 100, of Toronto, OH, passed away Monday, Oct. 16, 2017 at Sienna Nursing Home in Wintersville, OH.

Mary was born March 12, 1917 in Lisbon, OH, daughter of the late Ernest and Elizabeth (Vecchione) Arnoto.

She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Toronto, where she was active in the CWC and other groups.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, George Kireta; her daughter; Linda Kireta Christy; her grandson, Greg Orwick; two sisters, Vera and Evelyn; five brothers, George, Joe, Tony, Alfred and Paul.

Mary leaves behind her daughter, Patricia A. (Charles) Maloney of Wellsburg, WV; her sons, George J. (Jean) Kireta of Russell, PA and David J. (Julie) Kireta of Toronto; her twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 4-7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. Her Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Toronto. Fr. Thomas Vennitti will celebrate the Mass and burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
