Mary F. Micko, 94, of Toronto, OH, passed away Sunday Sept. 22, 2024, in the Valley Hospice Care Center in Steubenville, OH.

Mary was born Sept. 7, 1930, in Toronto, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Popick) Grantowsky.

She had retired from the former G.C. Murphy Store, where she worked as the window trimmer.

Mary was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Toronto and the CWC. She was a 1949 graduate of Toronto High School.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer P. Micko in 1990, and three brothers, Mike, Sam, and Jake.

Surviving are her four nephews, Mike and Vickie Grant, Bob and Severin Grant, both of Toronto, Ralph Edwards of FL and Bob Miller; three nieces, Marie and Nick Valero of Follansbee, WV, Nadine Wenner of Youngstown, OH, and Mary Ann Biederman of Cleveland, OH.

A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held Thursday, Sept. 26 at 11 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Vennitti as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Toronto Union Cemetery.

Visitation will take place on Thursday from 10 AM to 11 AM in the rear of the church. Memorial donations may be directed to the church c/o of the Rectory Office 1225 N. River Ave. Toronto, OH 43964.
