RADVANSKY, Mary A. (Ondrejko), 96, of 123 Outer Dr. Toronto, went to our Lord peacefully at her home on Tuesday morning, August 3, 2010.Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Adam, her sons, Adam Jr. and Eugene, three infant grandsons, and her granddaughter, Cheryl Kolesar (July 16, 2010).Surviving are her ten children and their families, including 35 grandchildren and 35 great-grand children.Mary was born in Smithfield, PA on April 3, 1914. She was a devout parishioner of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church since 1946. Although she was a member of the Rosary Society, her true love was laboring and being in charge of the Catholic Women's Kitchen at St. Joseph's for many years. Preparing gourmet meals under the guidance of Msgr. Kemo and serving these to all of the bishops and clergy was one of the highlights of her service. Mary was also a member of the First Catholic Slovak Union. Every day in May and October one could observe various women at the Our Lady of Fatima Shrine reciting the rosary with Mary often leading. Mary was a soprano in the church choir and also played the violin on special occasions. She believed strongly in Catholic education and supported it generously. She belonged to the Senior Citizens Sunrise Club, helping and encouraging the elderly.Mary's surviving children are Elmer and wife, Teresita of Baltimore, MD, grandchildren Emil and Phillip, great-grand children Jacob, Amy, and Sarah; Mary Kay Radvansky, wife of Eugene (deceased) of Follansbee, WV, grandchildren Gary and Gina, great-grandchildren Randi, Chrissy, Samantha, Alli, Orion, and Haley; Mary T. Savino, husband John Savino (deceased) of Boston, MA, grandchildren John, Joan, Jayne, Romula, Roman, Octavia, Marcus and Marius, great-grand children Mila, Conaire, Owen, Dante, Joseph, Mark, Gerard, and Jeremy John; Martin and wife Claudia of Soldotna, Alaska, grandchildren Glenda and Bobby, great-grand children Ashleigh and Jacklyn; Joseph and wife Sandi of Toronto. grand children Joey, Danny, Missy, Matthew, Philip and Christopher, great-grand children Cora, Hannah, Brady, Jenna, and Caleb; Anne M. and Rick LaLiberte of Orlando, FL, grandchildren Natalie and Nichole, great-grandchild Kincaid; Helen B. and husband Frank Kolesar of Canton, OH, grandchildren Sharon, Sheila, and David- great-grandchildren Jeremy, Adam, Cassandra, Calvin, Calista; John and wife Barbara of Wellsburg, WV, grandchild Jaime; Stephen of Hastings, MI, grandchildren Jeremy and Joshua; Paul and wife Angie of Canal Fulton, OH, grandchildren Heather, Naomi, Monica, and Adam- great-grandchildren Brianna, Jacob, Natalie, Jackson, Alex; Michael and wife Chrissy of Toronto, grandchildren Mallory, Nicole and Michael. Mary also has three brothers and two sisters living, as well as hundreds of precious nieces, nephews and cousins of three generations. She will be missed dearly by her numerous friends, caregivers and family.Friends and family will be received Thursday, August 5, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and also Friday, August 6, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Foster's Funeral Home, 701 Findley St., Toronto. Rosary recitation will be said each evening at 6:45 pm. A Mass in celebration of Mary's life will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1225 North River Ave., on Saturday, August 7, at 10 am.Friends and family will also be received prior to the Mass beginning at 9 am at Foster's Funeral Home. Burial will follow the Mass at Union Cemetery in Toronto.
