Mary J. Risnear 87 of Stratton, Ohio passed away Friday Oct. 28, 2005 in the Lancia Villa Royale Nursing Home in Steubenville. Mary was born Aug. 25, 1918 in Empire, Ohio; daughter of the late Andrew and Julia Anne Guzik Blischak. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church in Toronto. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Pete on Jan. 5, 1982, two infant brothers and brothers John and Michael Blischak. Mary is survived by her children, Marlene ( Tony ) DeSantis of Steubenville, Betty ( Charles "Doc" ) McConnell of West Chester, Ohio, Helen ( Joseph ) Jaeger of Hermitage, Pa., David ( Cathy ) Risnear of Toronto, Joyce ( Homer ) Bowers of Toronto. Her brother, Paul ( Patricia ) Blischak of Lancaster, Ohio . 12 Grandchildren and 22 Great-Grandchildren. Friends and family may call on Sunday evening from 7 - 9 pm. and on Monday from 2 -4 and 7 -9 pm. at the J. E. FOSTER FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 701 Findley St. Toronto. Prayer services will be held on Tuesday morning at the Funeral Home at 9:30 am., followed by Solemn Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am. at St. Joseph Byzantine Church on N. 5th St. in Toronto, Father Andrew Chura will be the Celebrant and burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
