It is with deep sadness that the family of Mary Loretta Trzaskoma (Myslinsky) announce her passing on Monday, June 12, 2023, at the age of 101.

Mary was born November 6, 1921, in Toronto, OH, daughter of the late Thomas and Pelagia Maciejewska Myslinsky. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Bennie Walter Trzaskoma, her brothers John, Charles, Eugene and two infant siblings, Martha and Ted.

Mary is survived by her daughters Rita (Damien) Gabis of Barrington, IL, Marlene (Dennis) Skrabak of Dyer, IN; grandchildren Ben Gabis, Joseph Gabis, Stephanie (Eileen) Gabis, Adam (Nataly) Skrabak and 7 great grandchildren.

Mary was a graduate of Toronto High School, class of 1939, and a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church belonging for many years to the Catholic Womens Club.

A loving mother and homemaker, Mary was a remarkable cook, baker and seamstress. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering for her favorite football and basketball teams, bowling for many years on the Toronto Womens League and playing golf as a longtime member of the Dyer Country Club. However, it was being with her family and friends that gave her the most joy.

A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 27 at 11 AM at St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto. Family and friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM in the rear of the church prior to the Liturgy. Fr. Thomas Vennitti will celebrate, and entombment will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates in Wintersville, OH.

Arrangements for Mary are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorial donations be made to St. Francis Church.
