Matthew S. Matt McCain, 43, of Dillonvale, OH, passed away Friday, June 30, at his home surrounded by his family.

Matt was born Jan. 16, 1980, in Steubenville, OH, son of Randy McCain and Joanne Bungard.

Matt was currently employed at Cleveland Cliffs Steel Mill in Weirton, WV, where he worked as a crane man in the Strip Steel Dept. He was a loyal union member of USW and a 1998 graduate of Buckeye Local High School.

Matt is survived by his wife, Angela L. Nidle-McCain, whom he married June 17, 2023; his two children, Jaelee Thompson of Mt. Pleasant, OH and Mason Lester of Mingo Jct, OH; his parents, Joanne (Bill) Bungard and Randy (Tracy Crothers) McCain all of Rayland, OH; his sister, Valerie (David) Mauro of College Grove, TN; his brother, Mark (Lauren) McCain of Erlanger, KY; his stepsisters, Shelly (Greg) Craft of Hedgesville, WV, Amanda Bungard of Lynn Haven, FL and his stepbrother Dan Bungard of Rayland, OH, five nieces, Anna, Avery, and Allie Mauro and Everly and Noelle McCain, and his aunts and uncles.

Matts wishes were to be cremated, with a private family service to be held at the convenience of his family. His arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH.
