Merle Joseph Johns, 53, of Wintersville, OH, passed away suddenly Sept. 16, 2018 while working in Richhill Twp., PA.

Merle was born Sept. 19, 1964 in Butler, PA, son of Merle F. Johns and the late Judith E. (Vlassich) Johns.

He was currently working as a Heavy Equipment Operator with Equipment Transport Co. located in Barnesville, OH.

In addition to his mother, Merle was preceded in death by one brother.

Merle leaves behind his son, Kris Johns of Cleveland, OH and his granddaughter, Alessandra Johns; his father, Merle; his sister, Jennifer McCaughtry and brother, Ronald Johns. Merle also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

There will be a Memorial Service Saturday, Sept. 29 at 12:30 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Family and friends will be received from 12 pm 2 pm before and after the service. Fr. Thomas Vennitti will officiate and Merles burial will be held at the convenience of his family.
