Michael A. Vargo, 76, of Piney Fork, OH, passed away Wednesday, August 08, 2018 in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, OH.

Mike was born Feb. 4, 1942 in Piney Fork, son of the late Andrew and Mary (Tarasuk) Vargo.

He was retired from Timet Titanium Metals Corp. in Toronto, OH where he worked in the Welder Maintenance Dept. Mike was a member of the Pine Valley Sportsman Club and the Piney Fork American Legion.

Mike was a Veteran of the US Army having served his country in the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Bednarski.

Mike leaves behind his two daughters, Samantha (Brian) Bailey of Boardman, OH and Lori Hazel of Massillon, OH, and his five grandchildren, Taylor, Kylie, Christopher, Logan and Brooklyn.

Family and friends will be received Friday, Aug. 10 from 5-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH. Everyone will gather at the funeral home Saturday morning at 10 am before leaving for a graveside service to be held at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, OH. Rev. Wilford Simeral will officiate the service and Military Honors will follow conducted by the Piney Fork American Legion.
