Myrtle Mae (Kontra) Polivka, 85 of Bloomingdale formerly of Rayland, Ohio passed away Monday April 11, 2011 at Trinity Medical Center West.Myrtle was born Oct. 7, 1925 in Rush Run, daughter of the late William and Florence Riley Whittaker. She worked for some time at the former Scio Pottery and the former Big Bear Store in Wintersville. She is a member of the Smithfield Christian Church. In addition to her parents Myrtle was preceded in death by her 1st. husband Herbert Kontra and by her 2nd husband John Polivka. Also preceding were 5 sisters and 4 brothers.Surviving are her five children, Carolyn (Paul) Bonecutter and Jane (Donald) Long both of Bloomingdale, Sandra (Ronald) Miller of Rayland, Ronald "Zek" (Theresa) Kontra of Mingo Jct., and Doris (Lonnie) Kujawa of Cadiz. 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 pm., at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 107 Hill St. Smithfield; where Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am. Rev.
