Nancy Lou Carpenter, 77 of Co. Rd. 10 Adena, Ohio passed away Saturday March 27, 2010 at her home. Nancy was born June 28, 1932 in Mt. Pleasant, Ohio, daughter of the late Edward and Rosa St. John Taylor. She was a homemaker and a former member of the Dillonvale Eagles. In addition to her parents Nancy was preceded in death by her 1st husband Shriver Eugene Crawford in 1964, her daughter Lou Ann Kellar, her sister Martha Taylor and her brother John Wesley Taylor. Surviving are her children, Robert (Sherry) Crawford of Wellsburg, WV, Allen Crawford of home, Gary Crawford of Adena, Shriver E. Crawford Jr., of home, Charles (Tina) Crawford of Columbus, John Paul Crawford of home, Judy (Donald) Hanlin of Mingo Jct., and Crystal (Rick) Brown of Adena. Her brothers Gene Taylor of Mingo Jct., William Taylor of Flint, MI., and Robert Hodgekiss of Radcliff, Ky; 25 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. Friends and family may call on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm., at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 107 Hill St. Smithfield; where services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Pastor Fred Compton will officiate her service. Burial will be at the convenience of Nancy's family. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
