Nicholas G. "Nick" 66, of Toronto, Ohio passed away suddenly Sunday afternoon in the Emergency Room of Trinity Medical Center West. Nick was born on March 11, 1942 in Steubenville, son of the late Nicholas Tye who passed in 1996 and his mother Anna Rose Barborak Tye who survives.Nick was a Catholic by faith; he retired from Weirton Steel Corp. in 1997 where he worked as a Forman in the Tin Mill; he was presently the Owner of Nick's Auto Sales in Empire, OH. Nick was a member of the Weirton Steel Management Club and he loved car shows, gardening and his pets.In addition to his father, Nick was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Laurie Ann who passed away in 1969.In addition to his mother, Anna of Toronto, Nick is survived by his wife, Joyce (Fidak) Tye of home whom have been married for 47 years having wed on January 13, 1962; daughter Cynthia Marie Tye of Columbus, OH; son Timothy Joseph Tye of Elkins, WV; two grandchildren, Matthew River Tye and Anna Katherine Tye; one sister Mary Ann Roberts of Columbus, OH and one brother John (Janice) Tye of Mason, OH. Nick is also survived by several brother and sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews as well as his loving cats, Angel, Shasta and Shauna.Visitation for Nick will be held on Tuesday, January 6, from 5-8pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. Nick's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 7 at 11am at the funeral home with the Msgr. Gerald Calovini officiating. There will be visitation on Wednesday from 10am up until the time of the service at 11am. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
