Norman L. Allen Sr., 76, Man of God, Loving husband, Faithful brother, Dedicated father, Doting grandfather and great-great grandfather died like a man at his home surrounded by family on January 16, 2013.He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rachel (Carson) Allen. Norm is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marie (Nalepa) Allen; brother Richard (Dick) Allen; cousins James (Mary Ann) Allen; daughter Amy (Ken) Humpe; sons, Norman Jr. (Debbie), Vic (Emi), J. Michael and Richard (Rich) Allen; Sister-in -law Eleanor (Mike) Simone; 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great-great child; numerous nieces and nephews, friends and a fine bird dog and faithful companion, Bay.He was a Faithful member of the Cornerstone Church of Toronto, The Toronto Rod and Gun Club and The Stratton Senior Citizens. Norm, who was known by some family members as 'Prince Albert,' 'Captain America,' 'Chief Grey Eagle' who walked many miles and shot many grouse, and past fellow co-workers as 'Storm'n Norman.'He was an American Patriot that served his Country as a Paratrooper. Norm was also an avid Sportsman and Conservationist who may be responsible for the diminishing population of the Ruffed Grouse in the Yellow Creek area and he was retired from Timet Metals Corp.A Celebration of his life will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cornerstone Church of Toronto.
