Obituary

Norman D. Skinner, 78, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2017 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

Norman was born June 3, 1938 in Toronto, son of the late Dewey and Edna (Beaver) Skinner.

He was retired from I.M.S., Inc. where he was a truck driver/heavy equipment operator.

In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mary Skinner who passed Oct. 8, 2016; his son Ricky A. Skinner, his sister Laura Prosser, his brother Larry Skinner and his beloved cat Laci Jane.

Norman leaves behind his daughter, Brenda (Jim) Reed of Toronto; his two grandsons, Jamie (Elizabeth) Reed of Toronto and Travis Reed of Weirton, WV; his great grandchildren, Braiden, Teagan, Orion and Parker Reed; his sisters, Carol (Fred) Bartels and Rose Cole both of Toronto; his aunt Margaruite Foulks of Parkersburg, WV; his sister-in-law Carolyn (Joe) Litten of Marysville, OH; his god son Rick (Sunni) Prosser of Weirton and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, Jan. 16 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. Eric Frey officiating. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
