Opal Pauline Polly Verhovic, 85, of New Alexandria, OH, passed away Tuesday February 23, 2021 at Lizas Place in Wheeling, WV.

Polly was born on Dec. 16, 1935 in New Alexandria, daughter of the late Earvy and Marie (Bucey) Roe.

She was a homemaker and a member of Plum Run Church of Christ in Christian Union.

In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Verhovic, Dec. 18, 2019; six brothers and four sisters.

Surviving is her son, David Jo Verhovic of home; daughter, Linda Sue (Gary) Merritt of New Alexandria; two grandchildren, Tabitha and Gary Merritt; brother, Earvy Doc (Carol) Roe of New Alexandria; two sisters, Patty (Ben) Beckett of Hopedale, OH and Lenora Starcher of Steubenville, OH.

Visitation for Polly will be Saturday Feb. 27, 2021 at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH, from 10 AM to the time of her service at 12 noon. Rev. Jack Jackson will officiate, and burial will follow in the New Alexandria Cemetery. www.jefosterfh.com
