Obituary

Patsy Ann Foster, 63 of Steubenville, OH, passed on March 4, 2025 at 2:47am at Trinity West ICU in Steubenville, OH.

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Patsy Ann Foster. She was a woman of remarkable strength, resilience, and love—someone who faced life's hardships with unwavering determination and always found a way to rise above them. No matter what challenges came her way, Patsy met them with grace, courage, and an unshakable spirit that inspired those around her.

Patsy was born July 12,1961, the daughter of the late Patricia Foster (Jim) and Allen Hetrick (Bea).

Patsy was born and raised in Columbus, OH, she attended and graduated from Whetstone High School in Columbus, Ohio. She eventually moved to Steubenville, Ohio where she met her soulmate Mike, they shared 28 years of life together and together raised 5 children. Throughout the years, Patsy was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma cancer in 2013, a fight that took her through hyperbaric chamber treatments, radiation masks, the loss of her teeth, and the permanent loss of her ability to taste. The radiation that helped extend her life also left behind lasting damage, making her bones fragile. As time went on, this fragility led to multiple bone breaks. On top of this, she developed COPD, a lung disease that left her dependent on oxygen tanks just to breathe. In her final months, the fight became harder.

She is survived by the love of her life of 28 years, Michael R. Kalivoda, her daughters and sons, Lisa-Marie Morris (William), Courtney Dotson, Kelly Kalivoda, Paul Kalivoda (Bekki), her grandchildren Patrick Morris, Lily Kalivoda, Jacob Kalivoda, Finley and Harper Kalivoda. Her Brothers Jimmy Foster (Sandy), Patrick Foster (Hilary), Nieces and Nephews Heidi Leister, Liam, Grey, and Carrigan Foster

Patsy's wishes were to be cremated with burial in the Sugar Grove Cemetery in Toronto, OH, at the convenience of her family.

Arrangements are in the care of J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. www.jefosterfh.com
