Paul Carnahan, 89 of Toronto, Ohio passed away Monday evening Nov. 21, 2005 in The Lancia Villa Royale Nursing Home in Steubenville. Paul was born Feb. 7, 1916 in Empire, Ohio; son of the late Sherman and Bertha Vantilburg Carnahan. Paul was a retired employee of Weirton Steel Corp., where he was a Supervisor in the Oxygen Plant with 34 years of service and a member of the Weirton Steel 25 year club. He is a member of the Empire United Methodist Church, a 50 year member of the Toronto Masonic Lodge# 583 F&AM., as well as the Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville.He was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Carnahan.Paul is survived by his wife of 65 years Margaret (August) Carnahan, whom he married on May the 8th 1940. He is also survived by his daughter Bertha and her husband Doug Sims of Streetsboro; one granddaughter, Holly (Mat)Shannon; one grandson David Sims; one great granddaughter Madison Shannon; and one nephew Robert Carnahan. There will be no visitation. A private service and interment for the family will be held on Friday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice 380 Summit Ave. Steubenville, OH 43952. Services are being handled by the J. E. Foster Funeral Home of Toronto.
