Paul A. Sacco, 92, of Smithfield, passed away Wednesday morning, January 2, 2007, at his home.Paul was born June 14, 1915 in Ingram, PA, son of the late Felix and Carmella (Petrone) Sacco. Paul graduated from Langley High School in PA. He also attended Slippery Rock University.Paul served in the United States Army in WWII. He was a member of St. Adalbert Roman Chatholic Church in Dillonvale, amember of Smithfield American Legion Post #396 and a member of the Pittsburgh VFW.Paul was retired from the Duquense Light Company in Pittsburgh. Paul also had a love for the game of golf, traveling, and working in his yard.In addition to his parents Paul was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Bashline Sacco; three brothers, John A., Anthony, and Joseph Sacco; three sisters, Mary Petrell Sacco, Sister Ann Louise Sacco, and Jane Sacco Feretti.Paul is survived by his wife, Tegwen (Helt) Sacco of home; his daughter Polly and her husband Ken Ezzell of Philadelphia; two step-children, Michael and his wife Linda Helt and Gary and his wife Justine Helt both of Smithfield; one brother, Frank A. Sacco and one sister, Helen Sacco Zimmerman both of Ingram, PA. Paul is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Visitation for Paul will be held on Friday, January 4 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home-Nightengale Chapel in Smithfield. There will be a wake service held Friday evening at 7:30pm. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Saturday at 9am at St. Adalbert Roman Catholic Church in Dillionvale with the Msgr. John Kolesar as celebrant. There will be visitation at the church Saturday morning from 8:30am till the Mass at 9am. There will befull military honors provided by the American Legion following theMass at the church.
